This video shows the function of a
larynx with a paralyzed left true vocal cord.  The paralyzed cord is in a lateral position but the working cord has compensated and can easily oppose it.  The patient had lung cancer and a left mediastinal mass.   This patient had a 55 pack year history of smoking.
