A Glomus Tympanicum, is a
paraganglioma of the
middle earcavity. It is a relatively rare,
highly vascular tumor. The tumor is locally invasive but can rarely
metastasize (spread by the blood stream or lymphatic system). It can
also be multi-focal with separate tumors developing in other parts of the
body.
