Basal Cell Carcinoma ( Skin Cancer )

A
patient
with a large basal cell carcinoma of the nose was removed with Mohs
surgery. Most cancers in this
area are due to sun exposure. |
A forehead flap and small right cheek advancement flap was outlined on the
patient. The width of the forehead flap is kept under 2.5 cm to assure
closure of the donor site. |

After wound closure. The forehead flap is sewn into place and the
forehead defect is closed. Note the small right cheek advancement
